Oh bother! My brain hurts terribly and I am feeling quite claustrophobic at the moment. Maybe it’s because I had one of the most paramount birthdays ever! My parents were here, Chase doted on me, I received countless phone calls and lively Facebook messages….and then came today. I woke up thinking it was Friday, perhaps my happy high was coming down since my parents had to go back home today, or maybe it was because I am completely drained (damned staying up too late playing Rockband with Chase!) and brought into our CEO’s office first thing. No, no, no! I wasn’t given a pink slip, just the exciting task of getting creative on a day where it is absolutely obvious that my brain has not hit full power yet. (I am LONGING for my couch clothes and about 4 or 5 reruns of Lipstick Jungle on my couch tonight!)
As I hit up some marvelous design blogs today, I did become inspired to start my very own design blog. My great friend Meagan has a wonderful design blog for her store in Louisville’s Summit, Rabbit in the Moon. As I went to some of her frequent reads, I realized that my job in the housing industry has somehow managed to put my creative interior design degree on the backburner. Today I have decided that Fridge Art Invites will debut a blog all of its own and convey my designs, as well as décor, fashion and general creative inspiration.
Be on the lookout. It may be 2 weeks, it may be 2 months. Ya’ll know I don’t like to be hurried about anything. We’ll get this ball rolling soon and I can share my design interests with the world!

My business consists of custom invitation design, mailing labels, stationary, rubber stamps and well anything else you can think of to put on paper! In the meantime, I have been creating a rehearsal dinner invitation for two dear friends of ours, and I wanted to share my creations from this morning!!!

A Fresh New Start

Chase and I spent Christmas Eve and Day in Missouri with my parent's and dad's family. It was a great time and Chase got to spend some quality time getting to know my Cuendet-Caldwell side. I think it's pretty safe to say that he fit in rather well.
We then drove back to Decatur and spent it with his family. It was a nice relaxing weekend. Barbie and Eddie took all the kids, spouse (cause there's only me!) and significant others out to eat Rosie's Cantina in Huntsville. It's probably my favorite place to eat in NA! Saturday, a good portion of the women and children (whew that's old fashioned) went ice skating at Point Mallard. It was definitely a fun time! We capped off the weekend visiting our good friends Adam McCulloch and Shane Johnson for a shrimp boil and XBox 360.
New Year's Eve, we went to eat with good friends Stephen Tangerman and Kelli Jones, and then came back to the house to ring in the new year. Uneventful, but a really good time. Packing up on New Year's Day, we headed to our lake house on Smith Lake. Fireworks, a few beers, some rowdy boys, a Yorkie, 2 Schnauzers and a Yellow Lab....we all had a good time! Oh until Alabama lost the Sugar Bowl to Utah. That put the damper on things, along with waking up that Saturday sick as dog. We headed home to recover and start the work week after having two weeks off!

That brings me up to speed on everything as far as news in our lives. Chase is out of town in ATL for work this week. I'm heading to Kentucky for the weekend, while his brother takes him hunting near Auburn this weekend. He'll head out again next week for Philly and Las Vegas, then the week after that Austin, Texas! I'm married, right? :)

I'm Not a Good Blogger
Okay, okay...I'm really trying hard to get into this blogging thing, because it's so cool! Unfortunately, I have been loaded down at work the past few weeks due to some new house plans I have been working on. (Being busy=good!)
To fill you in on our life's occurences...
Alabama #1 - That's right, the Tide is 11-0 this season and our house is happy every Saturday. We have an off weekend, so that will be spent mentally preparing for the Iron Bowl the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
HUNTER MOVED OUT!!! - That's right, Chase's brother bought a house about 10 minutes away from us, we bought out his portion and our house is now in a transformation process. (I will finally post pictures of my house AFTER transformation-Phase 1 begins.
Thanksgiving is next week! - Let the compromises of marriage begin! I believe that we are spending lunch in Decatur with the Eaken-Allen's and dinner with the Gates'. Christmas is still in the planning phase!
Well, that's it for now....this is better than nothing!
