She's a super freak...

I have to admit something. Since this is a personal blog, I feel that I should share something personal. Don’t worry, it’s not too personal…but since many of you are strangers, I am sharing this with you. I tend to put icing on things in this blog, but I want my readers to know that I am a real. I have struggles, bad days and even though I enjoy my job, I don’t necessarily want to work every day! My house is only clean on Fridays, {only because we’re gone every weekend and I hate coming home to a messy/dirty house!} we need a new roof and my chimney is smelling up my house. {Whew, that felt better!}

Both of my parents will tell you and now I will finally admit to it….I am 100% 110% CONTROL FREAK. {Think Margaret Wade from Dennis the Menace!} I love to be in charge, in control and bossy 99.9% of the time. That’s a terrible characteristic to have, right? I’m working, working, working on this so that I’m 85% in control of things. {50% is NOT feasible at this time!} Blame it on me being a Leo. We love to be the center of attention, in control….

My controlling tendencies have grown to not letting Chase cook dinner {because I feel it’s my job}, cleaning the house without asking for help and even getting territorial over my work on my desk from my co-workers. Are any of you finding this familiar? What do you do to “take it down a notch?” All I can do is pray and bite my lip these days. I’m really trying…really I am. I will take any constructive criticism you wonderful readers have to offer!

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. LOL! :) I, too, am a control freak. I can't help it. Always have been, always will be. The only thing that has helped me dial it back a notch is having a baby. Once you have a child, you realize that there is SO much that is out of your control and you QUICKLY learn to just go with the flow. So, yeah, that's my advice to you... have a baby. :)

I feel your pain! I definitely struggle with the same "issue"... or is it a strength?

Okay okay...it's an issue.

Mama Kappa Delta, I'm afraid the baby might not be in the cards just yet, buuuuuuuuuuuuut Brian can come play with us anytime and maybe he'll rub off on me a little!! :)

And Rachel, yes, I agree, it CAN be a strength. We're the people that never have a problem voicing their opinion. :)
